Kritam is one of the smallest villages in India. It hardly has got 30 houses. Muni is a poor man in the village who would graze his goat and use them to earn some money for a living. He was living in poverty just like many others in the village.
The only sophisticated house was a rich man’s from whom the village would get water. There were a class and caste distinction in the village.
When Muni met the foreigner, they could understand each other. But at the background, the difference in the lives of people is cleanly stated and described.
