'One gains the most important thing in life which is, a peaceful mind through mastering the art of being silent and calm even during times of difficulties, annoyance and hatred.'
About the poem:
- In his poem 'Stay Calm' the author values being calm and composed in situations of difficulties and rage. Such an attitute is to be cherished throughout one’s lifetime.
- If a person is able to master the art of staying calm in any difficult situation, he/she has already won the battle against selfishness and other's strife.
- The author advises us to realise the implications of negative emotions in our minds and to grow this feature within us. Such emotions represents chains that are tied to the mind’s toes, keeps us away from attaining a peaceful mental state.
About the author:
Grenville Kleiser was a North American poet and writer. He has written a number of inspirational works on public speaking, finance and spirituality. Besides, he was also an instructor of oratory at the Yale Divinity School. His first book called as 'How to Speak in Public' was published in the year 1906.
