we get to know about war from the poem after Blenheim is that war brings only death and destruction to humanity. the poet wants to emphasise through the lines that wars are senseless , futile and evil and in war there are no real winners as there is a mass destruction , no good comes out of it. many expected mothers and new born babies died due to wars and more than thousands of people lost their families due to wars . every one says that this happens usually in great wars but no one emphasise on the destruction caused to innocent people due to these wars between countries.
