The reaction which involves addition of oxygen (or) removal hydrogen (or increase in the oxidation state of central atom is called oxidation reaction). some common examples will be. (i) Formation of rust on the Metal surface. (ii) Burning of Fuels. (iii) Burning of Hydrocarbons
