pH is the negative log of hydrogen ion concentration in a water-based solution. The term "pH" was first described by Danish biochemist Søren Peter Lauritz Sørensen in 1909. pH is an abbreviation for "power of hydrogen"
This scale, however, is not a linear scale like a centimeter or inch scale (in which two adjacent values have the same difference). It is a logarithmic scale in which two adjacent values increase or decrease by a factor of 10.

hello Frnd
here is your answer
● pH stands for Potential of Hydrogen
pH is measurement scale which is use to measure the acidity or alkalinity in a liquid substances.
It has numbers on it from 1 to 14, which has a middle point on 7.
Value from 1 to 6 defines acidity of any liquid substances and 1 is the most acetic point.
And Value above 7 defines alkalinity of any liquid substances.
Value 7 is a neutral point, it means it is neither acetic nor alkanitic.
hope it helps
