The combination of cytoplasm and nucleoplasm is known as protoplasm. These are composed of proteins which combine with glucose to form glycoproteins, fats to form lipoproteins and nucleic acids to form nucleoproteins. Proteins present in the cytoplasm has carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen.
