The QC and QD written on the topograpical maps denote the name of a district block or tehsil.
**Lx, LS wriiten on the map sheets also refer to the same thing..But if these are mentioned at the top corner or somewhere in the corners , it denotes the beginning of new 100 X 100 grid squares.
