Inspite of the fact that it is man-made, yet it is made up of cellulose which procured from wood pulp, and is a natural substance. Cellulose is also the base for cotton, wood and paper. Due to this reason Rayon is also called a regenerated fibre as while preparing rayon, cellulose is first broken down and later reformed.
