The Reorganisation energy is define as the energy required for all structural adjustment (in the reactant in the surrounding solvent molecule) which are needed in order that A and D assume the configuration required for the transfer of electron.

OR

The reorganisation energy is defined as the energy required to destroy the reactant and its associated solvent molecules, from there relaxed nuclear configuration, to the relaxed nuclear configuration of the product and its associated solvent molecules.
