Organ systems which produce many proteins have cells with a large amount ofrough endoplasmic reticulum. The smooth endoplasmic reticulum plays a major role in synthesizing lipids by means of enzymes embedded in these smooth membranes.
hence, SER produce lipids.......and RER produce proteins.............
