Gases and particles in Earth's atmosphere scatter sunlight in all directions. Blue light is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time.

Hope it helps ^_^
Because most of the blue light gets scattered throughout the atmosphere due to the 'Tyndall Effect' while other rays reach the earth's surface as sunlight. The sky may appear of a different colour due to other regions but it usually appears blue.
