Slake lime: Ca(OH) 2 that is calcium hydroxide
To prepare the slake lime we add water to quick lime (CaO) that is calcium oxide. When water is added to quick lime hydrogen gas is released by producing hizzing sound and it's chemical equation is:
CaO +H2O ➡ Ca(OH)2
Thanks
Hope this is helpful to you
