but ~~~East india company had an initial plan to earn maximum profit out of the people of india ,and set up their factories and spread their trade to india and neighbouring countries.Moreover in India handicrafts were in more use whereas the machine made products introduced by BRitishers were cheap hence gave a stiff competition in market as well as earned the m good profit.
