We know that potassium permanganate absorbs carbon-dioxide from atmosphere.

Thus if a plant is stored in a beaker covered from top, then obviously plant will release carbon-dioxide.

If we place this potassium permanganate with it if will surely absorb that carbon-dioxide.

This shows that plabt produces carbon dioxide .
