we may give examples :

a. Separation of powers : whereby constitution clearly defines the powers of the three organs of the government that is the legislature, executive and judiciary. This prevents concentration of power and is the democratic spirit, as the jurisdiction of three organs is defined. further, in order to prevent any misuse of power the constitution also provides for a system of check and balances, where each organ keeps a check on another.

b- Fundamental rights: these are basic rights without wich no individual can develop himself to the fullest. this rather forms the core of any democratic society as these rights ensure participation of the people in the governance of the country and also guarantees liberty, equality of opportunities , justice and fairness to them. These rights also protect citizens from the arbitrary exercise of power. These rights serve as the limitations on the powers of the government wich it cannot intrude.
