What does the food recieve in the buccal cavity?


Anugya: What do u exactly mean by the question I mean r u talking about the enzymes
sirina: It could be anything, be it enzymes or whatever. i want to know everything that the food recieves in the buccal cavity

food receive saliva which contain pylon which break glucose

sirina: you mean Ptyalin I think.

In the buccal cavity it receives saliva which contains salivary amylase which partially break down carbohydrates.To be more accurate it catalyses the chemical dingestion process of starch into sugar.
