What does the I in the bracket after H2O mean? What does it stand for?

well, (l) it means the state, liquid ...

as H₂O means water nd it is in state of liquid ...
to make a chemical reaction more informative, the physical products of reactants and products r mentioned along with their chemical formulae ..

aq means aqueous ..
g, gaseous 
s, solid 

the word aq is written if the reactant or product is present as a solution in water ...
