Judicial independence is the concept that the judiciary needs to be kept away from the other branches of government. That is, courts should not be subject to improper influence from the other branches of government, or from private or partisan interests.

Independent of judiciary means that it is not under the control of the legislature or the executive.

The judges donot act on the direction of the government or accordingto the wishes of the party in power.

This is why all modern democracies have courts that are independent of the legislature and the executive.
