odometer measures distance an automobile.
i)v=s/t
300/60
= 5m/s
ii)v= s/t
36/1000x60x60/1
= 129.6m/s
ii) car is moving faster than i)...

Concept Introduction:-

It could take the shape of a word or a number representation of the quantity's arithmetic value.

Given Information:-

We have been given that A scooter moving with a speed of 300 m per I minute. A car moving with a speed of 36 km per hour.

To Find:-

We have to find that the odometer of an automobile measure? Which of the following is moving faster? Justify your answer.

Solution:-

According to the problem

The speed of the car is greater than the scooter.

1. An odometer in an automobile is a device that measures the total distance traveled by a vehicle.

2. It measures the distance by calculating the circumference of the wheels. Since the units of scooter and car are different they are not comparable. We will first convert the units to make them comparable.

the scooter moves- $300 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{min}$, converting it to $\mathrm{m} / \mathrm{sec}$

$=5 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{sec}$

to convert $\mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}$ to $\mathrm{km} / \mathrm{hr}$, we multiply $\mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}$ by $\frac{18}{5}$ or $3.6$

the scooter speed is $18 \mathrm{~km} / \mathrm{hr}$

comparing it with car speed- $\mathbf{3 6} \mathbf{~ k m} / \mathbf{h r}$

clearly $36 > 18$

Final Answer:-

The correct answer is the speed of the car is greater than the speed of the scooter.
