oil and water cannot be dissolved they are insoluble (heterogeneous mixture).

even when we mix oil still separate the oil always for float to the top because it is less dense than the water oil and water does not mix because water molecules are more attracted to each other than to oil molecules detergent molecules are attracted to both water and oil
