The partially destroyed statues in the poem ozymandias gives an example to us that nothing is permanent in this world, Ozymandias tried to make a failed attempt at eternal glory and lost. It also is ironic that the inscription which stated him a great king is no more and his name along with the staue disappeared due to the passage of time.
