The poet William Shakespeare through the lines ‘ living record of your memory’ in sonnet 55 tries to immortalize a young man whom he admires so greatly.

Shakespeare trusted that as long as the poem is read by others, the man would live forever and all its bitterness won't stop him. All the future generations will praise him till eternity. Therefore, until Judgment Day when he will be taken to heaven, this poem will be a tribute to him and he will live forever in the lovers’ eyes who read this poem.
