The poet is trying to say the world ends in both fire and ice.But he also says he stand with those who say the world ends with fire.

the poet says that the people living i the world are like fire and ice. here poet consider the fire as desire, greed and desire and ice as hatred , insensitivity and coldness. and he also says that both are equally strong to destroy the whole world. if fire destroyed the whole world if there  give one chance also for the ice, it will do the same as the fire .
