What does the poet say she should have bought something else with her shillings...
This question is from the poem "OH I WISH I LOOKED AFTER ME TEETH"

when poetress was child they eat many sweet and never care her teeth and her teeth was decayed and dentist puts cap and shillings and say that you never eat sweets and poetress fell very painful

in the poem , "OH I WISH I'D LOOKED AFTER ME TEETH" , the poet says that if she had known the consequences of eating so much toffees , sweet sticky food , liquorice , lollies etc she would have not wasted her shillings on such food items which were eventually very bad for her teeth and were destroying her teeth gradually . she thinks with regret that if the truth about all the candies , toffees etc would have known to her , she would have never bought such things with the pocket money she saved .
