Inertia is that property of a body which causes it to remain in it's state of motion in a straight line, or spin or rest, until or unless some external force is applied on it. Inertia is present due to mass.

Innertia is also called first law of motion and is defined as in a state of motion along a straight line ,unless some external unbalance force is applied on the body to change that state this property is called inertia.
