Answer: Some of the activities of the tiger behind the bars of its cage includes stalking along the length of the cage, ignoring visitors, hearing patrolling cars and staring at the brilliant stars shining in the sky.
Answer:
That depends largely on the environment that has been provided for them. Luckily, zoos have come a long way since my childhood, when most animals were kept in concrete pits with little of interest for them to do. These days, more enlightened zoo workers try to recreate an animal’s natural environment and provide sufficient space for them as well as outlets for all their natural instincts. Tigers are much like our domesticated cats in that they have instincts to play and hunt, sleep a lot, figure out puzzles, and reproduce. Tigers are unusual among cats in that they also enjoy swimming. So a modern tiger habitat in a zoo may include a pool for swimming, environmental enrichment items such as toys and puzzles for them, and plenty of places for them to lounge and sleep. Most zoo visitors can observe the tigers sleeping, but if they’re lucky, they may see them playing or swimming, as well.
