Weight is nothing but gravitational force which is pulling objects towards planet and it is measured in newtons. Since gravity depends on the mass of the object and can only be seen when the size of an object is as massive as moon, planet or star. Thus objects with greater mass has greater gravitational pull than objects with lesser mass.
