It is a well known fact that life is full of ups and downs. Incidents and circumstances bring about a lot of changes in life. Not all changes are positive ones. The positive changes propel one forward while the negative changes cause setbacks. Setbacks are inevitable in life because of many reasons, including factors that are beyond our control, or things that were not foreseen or lack of experience. Also, since humans do not come programmed with knowledge about everything, many times we need to face failure. This failure is also seen as a "setback" by many. Yet another reason for facing setbacks is the lack of determination to fight the situations. When one gives up midway, and accepts defeat, it qualifies as a setback. Put together, setbacks are a very common occurrence in each individual's life, and though some setbacks may be avoided, not all can be overcome easily.
