The RHYME SCHEME of a poem is is the pattern of rhymes at the end of each line of a poem or song.
To find out the rhyme scheme you need to underline the groups of rhyming words at the end of a sentence, and assign them letters (a,b,c,d)
Example-
Bid me to weep, and I will weep A
While I have eyes to see B
And having none, yet I will keep A
A heart to weep for thee B
Here the first set of rhyming words are WEEP AND KEEP so will will assign them A. Similarly we will assign B to SEE AND THEE.
So the rhyme scheme here is ABAB
Now, in the poem Tiger-
He stalks in his vivid stripes A
The few steps of his cage, B
On pads of velvet quiet, C
In his quiet rage. B
So the rhyme scheme is ABCB. Hope you understand:)
