let a be income of a

''   b    ''    ''       ''   b

''     c  ''            ''     c

a+b+c=15,9600---------->1

given annual savings are in the ratio 16 : 17 : 12 i.e.,

a=16x ;b= 17x ; c=12x;

also given a saves 20%

=>savings of a is (20/100)*a=16x

=>a=80x

Similarly savings of B and c are as  follows

savings of b is (12.5/100)*b=17x

b=136x

savings of c is (10/100)*c=12x

c=120x

from 1 we get 80x+136x+120x=1596000

from this we get x =4750

from this we get savings b is 17x i.e., 17(4750)=80750

savings of c is 12x i.e., 12(4750)=57000

savings, in rupees, of b exceeds that of c by 80750-57000

                                                                         =>23750 is ur answer
