What dose a polaroid consist of? Show, using a simple polaroid, that light waves are transverse in nature. Intensity of light coming out of a polaroid doesnot change irrespective of the orientation of the pass axis of the polaroid. Explain why?

A Polaroid consists of Nicole prims arranged such as to allow the fields to vibrate only in one plane.

Thus, if we put a Polaroid in the way of a ray.and then another Polaroid in the transmitted way such that their axis perpendicular to each other then no ray passes.
