Explanation:

'v' stands for final velocity, that is, the velocity that is attained by the object after acceleration.

'u' stands for initial velocity ,that is, the velocity with which the body has started its motion. In most cases the initial velocity is 0(if we consider that the body has started its motion from rest). But when the object comes to rest from the state of motion, then the initial velocity is speed with which the body was moving.

's' means displacement or distance covered by the object.

't' means time taken for the change of Velocity.
