what effect does Construction of roads and buildings have on water perolation through soil?what effects would this have on the water table?

Due to construction of roads and infrastructure land surface area is lessened and very little water percolates. Water table also doesnt get refilled due to this condition. Which eventually will lead to depletion of itself. Pls mark brainliest and thanks for the update
