hey buddy,
p^h actually means the concentration of hydrogen ions in a liquid. as the concentration of hydrogen ions will increase its p^h will be increased means it will become more and more acidic.

When the concentration of hydrogen ions increase the solution become more acidic while when the hydrogen ion decreases cause an increase in the bases in the solution.
