What effects do nearness to the sea and height above mean sea level have on the climate?

The large water bodies like seas have great effect on the climate of the area. During daytime the water gets heated up which causes vapourisation. This water vapour enters the air making the air denser.

This denser air moves towards the areas near sea as the air at those areas is less in density. Therefore, the climate is humid.

However, as we go above the mean sea level, the density of the air decreases causing dryness in climate.
