what effects does the indicator phenolpthalein have on ?-tamarind solution

It turns colourless because tamarind is an acid.

It becomes colourless , as tamarind solution is acidic and phenolpthalein turns colourless when it is in contact to an acid and it turns pinkish ,when it is in contact to a base.
