Efforts have been taken to discourage the students in private tuition in the light of RTE Act 2009 are as follows-

  • The main objective of the RTE Act is to ensure that each child in India receives standard elementary education irrespective of their economic or caste background.

  • The law incorporates children who were forced to drop out of their school.

  • So, According the Act, Section 13 bans the collection of capitation fee by schools from any child, whereas Sections 19 and 25 provide for withdrawal of recognition to a school which contravenes RTE Act, 2009.

  • Now this acts stopped other sources of income who attracted students to teach them privately. No other expenses are there now which may prevented children from pursuing elementary education.

  • The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTEAct, provides satisfactory and equitable quality of education to children.
