Hydrogen bromide has a chemical formula: HBr. This comprise the elements hydrogen and bromine as constituents. Hydrogen bromide belong to  diatomic molecule with the chemical  formula HBr.

It is a colourless compound and a belongs to halogen group hydrogen halide. It is a solution of HBr in water. Hydrogen bromide both the anhydrous and aqueous solutions are a common reagents in the preparation of various bromide compounds.

HBr  gas is highly  soluble in water, forming hydrobromic acid , which is saturated at 68.85% HBr by weight at room temperature. Aqueous solutions that are 47.6% HBr by weight form a constant- boiling azeotrope mixture that boils at 124.3 °C composition remaining unchanged.

Boiling less concentrated solutions releases H2O until the constant boiling mixture composition is reached.
