What event pulled the US out of the Great Depression? How did this event bring about a better economy? ( so I know it was world war 2 but I don't know the second part of the question)

Ironically, it was World War II, which had arisen in part out of the Great Depression, that finally pulled the United States out of its decade-long economic crisis.
