What events led to the birth of the sun?

ANSWER :

Before the sun and the solar system formed, there was a gas cloud which contained gas and dust. This cloud of gas was very huge and contained all the matter that we see in solar system. Over millions of years, the gas cloud started to collapse under its own gravity. The condensed gas and dust eventually reached the mass and pressures required for nuclear fusion, thus forming the sun. After the birth of the sun, the remaining material formed planets, asteroids and comets that we see today in our solar system.
