The evidence from "The Storyteller” that supports the theme that pride goes before a fall are:

‘It’s a very difficult thing to tell stories that children can both understand and appreciate,’ she said stiffly.'

and

‘Unhappy woman!’ he observed to himself as he walked down the platform of Templecombe station; ‘for the next six months or so those children will assail her in public with demands for an improper story!’

In the story “The Storyteller” the Aunt started to tell the most conventional story about how to be a good and obedient person to the children. The children were least interested in listening to the same old story.

Hellen Keller was actually a book lover but her ove for books along with her entire reading process was quite a slow one.

It was on May 1887 that hellen got to read her first book. During her time in Boston she actually spent most of her time in the institution's library where she would let her herself wander from one book to the second one and so on.
