So first of all, it was a severe worldwide economic depression faced between 1929 to late 1930s beginning with the US State. It was started in the Us after the great fall in the stock market which began around September 4, 1929. It was spread worldwide with the crash int he stock market of various countries on October 29, 1929 and it was so severe that the day was now known as the BLACK TUESDAY! Unemployment in the U.S. rose to 25% and in some countries rose as high as 33%.
