hi here is your answer I think that it will help you.

Explanation:

Lamarck in his use and disuse theory proposed that any body part used vigorously caused it to become stronger and inherited in descendants. Lamarckism was failed to explain the reason behind weak muscles of wrestler’s son. Which was later on explained by August Weismann in his germ plasm theory. The germplasm theory claimed that only those changes would be inherited that affects germplasm (now called DNA) and any change in the body would not affect germplasm, so could not be inherited. Thus, the correct answer is ‘Weak muscles in the son of a wrestler

Answer:

criticisms of lamarckism

1. Lamarck has not proved experimentally that use and disuse of organs can modify them.

2. It is absolutely incorrect that the new organs can be developed according to need and wish of an organism.

3. all the acquired characters are not inherited into new generation.

Explanation:

Example:

lamarck explained the long neck giraffe on the principle of inheritance of acquired characters. According to him modern giraffes are considered as the descendants of some short necked animals .These ancestors used to graze on land . when a number was increased grass was not enough for their food due to scarcity they started to stretch their neck to eat the leaves of trees and this resulted in using neck more and more and because of increase of neck from generation to generation giraffe with long neck appeared but he was not able to prove that that use and disuse of organs can modify them.
