Answer: Evans' friend came disguised as Mcleery. He came inside the prison wearing two costumes, two beards and had two spectacles. He brought in blood with him in a rubber tube in the guise of having a problem of hemorrhoids (piles).

Mc leery had not been frisked before letting into Evan’s cell where he was to invigilate. He was called out for the check just before the start of the examination. On checking, Jackson found two objectionable things in his suitcase. The first was a small semi-inflated rubber ring and the second a paper knife.
The paper-knife was confiscated by Jackson. For rubber ring, Mc leery said he suffered from piles; his doctor had advised him to use it for long sitting sessions.
