The Bombay High Court on Monday dealt a hammer blow to thousands of suburban residents and major builders by terming the land on which a number of residential projects stand today as forest, and thereby, protected land.  Dismissing a petition by the city���s builder community, the division bench, headed by chief justice Swatanter Kumar and justice SC Dharmadhikari upheld a state government move in 2006 to take back nearly 1,000 acres of land in Borivali, Kandivali, Mulund, Thane and Ghatko .
