Factors affecting entropy of a system are :-
- Temperature increases entropy increases
- Pressure increase entropy decreases
- Molar mass increase entropy increase
- Volume increases entropy increases
- Number of moles increase so entropy also increases

The factor affecting the entropy of the system is:
- Entropy is the randomness possessed by molecules or the system.
- When randomness increases entropy is positive, when decreases entropy is negative.
- In the free expansion gas moves freely and molecules tend to escape out.
- An increase in temperature increases the entropy as disorders increase while temperature decreases causing a decrease in entropy.
- In compression entropy of the system is negative as the gas molecules come nearer and the volume decreases, which decreases the randomness.
- During expansion, volume increases so molecules get enough space for movement. An example of free expansion is an explosion of the cylinder.
