What factors gave birth to the consumer movement in India? Trace its evolution.

1. People were exploited by the industries that sold their commodities ....
2. They also suffered from lack of options to raise voice against such discrimination...
3. people were not provided with proper information regarding the things that they buyed...
4. I need of proper arrangement was felt by the government to protect the views of the consumers...

Before the enactment of COPRA Indian citizens were exploited in many ways :
1.Many producers sell products without any qualification label . And without proper information .
2.Consumers had to buy goods and products in it's own guaranty
3.If any damage had to done by the product then it was the responisiblity of the consumer not of the seller
