Explanation:

The following factors that helped the town to become a textile center:

  • Ahmadabad is located in the core of a cotton-growing region, making it easy to find the main raw material.
  • For spinning and weaving, the humid climate is perfect.
  • The flat terrain and simple land accessibility are appropriate for mill setting up.
  • Gujarat and Maharashtra's densely populated countries provide both qualified and semi-skilled labor.
  • Well-developed highway and rail network enables textiles to be transported easily to distinct areas of the nation, thus offering simple market access.
  • The neighboring Mumbai port promotes the import of machinery and cotton textiles export.
