Srilankan Tamils felt that none of the major political parties by the Buddhist sinhala leaders were sensitive to their language and culture. The relations between the Sinhala Nd Tamil communities strained overtime and soon it turned into a civil war.

CIVIL WAR IN SRI LANKA

1-Sri lankan tamils thought that sinhala community denied them equal political rights.

2-they thought that sinhalas were not sensitive to their language and culture.

3-as a result the relation between sinhalas and tamils got strained.

4-by 1980s they demanded an independent tamil elam(state).

the distructs between two communities soon turned into a civil war.
