- Their language was neglected and Sinhala Speaking people decided to make Sinhala as a National language.
- Sinhala Speaking people wanted to make government by their own in which there would be no Tamil people.
- The jobs, equality of Tamil speakers were in danger.
- Tamil speakers demanded for separate State but their demand was not fulfilled and they became angry and this led to Civil war.
